Growing Up
A Multi-Genre Essay on Growing Up

Greetings human, you must be reading this introduction manual because you want to learn how to grow up, and I do not mean this in a cruel manner as I simply assume that you want to learn how to mature, and this manual is by all means the simplest way you can achieve this daunting task. First off you must be able to distinguish right from wrong. In To Kill a Mockingbird Jem, the young man who loves football matures a lot through realizing right from wrong. When the court case was in session he saw that the treatment of Tom Robinson was unfair ;and even when Scout was about to kill a pill bug at their house,  he forbid her from killing it, as he said it had done nothing to her. On the contrary in my electronic eyes growing up is an astonishing thing to have happen to you as it builds on confidence. Whether you realize your confidence is building when you look back in a year book and laugh at the sight of yourself, or when you listen to home videos featuring you it is always a delightfully startling thing. Most people look at these pictures and see a young child smiling meekly, and when they look up at a mirror they see a confident young adult. Though I may know much about the simple ways of my human creators, the art of growing up never ceases to amaze me.
By now you have probably been experiencing a sense of powerful authority and decreasing shyness. This is because I have taken your childhood and I am only giving it back for a price. Without your childhood all your misunderstandings of the world will be practically gone. These misunderstandings are sometimes a great thing so you will defiantly miss these ones. Scout in To Kill a Mockingbird did not understand the adults’ fusses about people and overall just understood that you should just treat everyone equally. When everyone was angry at Tom Robinson she was one of few people who did not accuse him off anything .This is almost opposite of Romeo and Juliet who want to mature as fast as possible so they can get married and do what they wanted. This is just like how I hardly understand you yet I kidnapped your childhood. Maturity is a thing that should not be taken with a grain of salt. As a mature human you are expected to be able to detect right from wrong. This is probably the most unreasonable burden since everyone’s heart and mind works differently and what some may think is wrong others may think is normal. This problem is why there are so many conflicts among the mature. So in a way I am helping you become mature. But I also am helping you realize that you don’t want to grow up too fast. When it is time to you will, of course, grow up since not growing up is just in fairy tales, though the lost boys are still trying to pay my ransom for their maturity back.
Good morning all, this is your favorite news channel that has dedicated our mornings to give you the latest scoops on the ever constant battle between childhood and the elusive adulthood. Today we are live at Route School as our very own reporter is following the high speed chase of childhood and adulthood.  So what is happening so far out there on the roads?
Reporter:
Well Childhood is racing down Route School and seems to be heading off to Graduation Street but is repeatedly cut off by Adulthood who is swerving like a drunk, and calling out to Childhood. Adulthood is on a motorcycle wearing only a t-shirt and shorts to protect, well his chest and legs. Childhood is also a little rebellious, just like Scout in To Kill a Mockingbird, and is ignoring what the police are saying. It is not Childhoods fault though, just like Scout she doesn’t understand what the adults are worried or scared about so she does what she wants to and what her heart tells her to do. Adulthood too is feeling great though since Jem recently matured and it was a spirit raising achievement since his spirits were down since he couldn’t get Peter Pan to mature. But this is not going to be another win as Childhood made it to Graduation Street and is safe, for now. Now back to you as we talk to you about more growing up later in the day.
Childhood as it is
 A Documentary on Growing Up
In this video we will show you one of the many phases a child may go through. One of these bizarre phases that children may go through is when they are loud and do not make vocal sounds other than gurgling and burping. This is normal and babies do not yet know how to speak so they cry so that they are understood. This is actually a sign of maturing as is when a baby starts to walk, talk, or laugh as these are the signs of a maturing child. Another sign is when your child now a pre-teen is heading into middle school. At first the young teen will feel very powerful and will try to ignore what you say and will often get really frustrated when they are denied doing something that you say that is not OK with you. This will change soon, but it will be very subtle but be grateful when it does because they will most likely become very close to you. Out in a field or school I should say I had the chance to observe a group of teens in their natural habitat. They really just giggled and formed a circle like they were trying to solve something larger than a large sum of homework. This is how these kids are through teen years, and next time we will be moving on in Childhood as it, but now you know more about childhood and how it comes and goes.
